The top 10 best airlines in the world – The airline you choose to fly can make or break your travel experience. Luckily, one airline has been named the best by this year’s Skytrax Awards, so you know what your top choice should be.

 

The world’s best airlines have just been named for 2024:

 

There’s a lot that goes into a great airline – efficiency, punctuality, really great on-board snacks and movie selections – but what’s better than a customer satisfaction survey to point us in the direction of the very best?

The World Airline Awards is the planet’s biggest airline customer satisfaction survey, and the ranking of various flight operators has just been announced for 2024. Claiming the top spot and the coveted crown is (drumroll please…) Qatar Airways!

In second place it was Singapore Airlines, and in third it was Emirates. Asian and Middle Eastern airlines did well overall, claiming seven of the top 10 spots, whereas airlines in Europe claimed the other three – check out the rest of the list below.

 

This is the world’s best airline of 2024, declared by the ‘Oscars of the aviation industry’:

 

Qatar Airways also nabbed the top spots for the World’s Best Business Class, the World’s Best Business Class Lounge and the Best Airline in the Middle East.

The airline flies to Australia, Asia, Europe, the Middle East, Africa, North America and South America and is known for its on-board focus on comfort, fine cuisine and the latest in-flight audio and video entertainment.

Last year’s winner for Airline of the Year, Singapore Airlines, came in second in the world this year, while Emirates in third out of the 350 airlines included.

For 2024, Singapore Airlines took the top awards for the World’s Best Cabin Staff, World’s Best First and the Best Airline in Asia.

Delta Air Lines received the award for Best Airline in North America, as well as the Best Airline Staff Service for North America. Allegiant Air got the award for the Best Low-Cost Airline in North America for the first time.

Other top awards included AirAsia as the repeat winner — every year since 2010 — of the World’s Best Low-Cost Airline award; Scoot as the World’s Best Long Haul Low-Cost Airline; British Airways as the World’s Most Family Friendly Airline; Cathay Pacific as the World’s Best Economy Class and Japan Airlines as the World’s Best Premium Economy Class.
