How can I watch Industry HBO series

How can I watch Industry HBO series? – The HBO drama is packed with cut-throat schemes, toxic masculinity, drug binges and lots of nudity, earning comparisons to Succession, and while that’s a fair connection, Industry more than stands on its own merit with the murky world of London’s finance district.

How can I watch Industry HBO series?

The third season of Industry launches for American audiences on Sunday August 11 on HBO and streaming service Max, with episodes airing weekly.

UK viewers will be able to watch the series on BBC Two and BBC iPlayer later this year.

Check out the trailer below for a taste of what’s to come.

This new season of “Industry” begins on a boat, and is the beginning of a life changing event for a few of the series characters. Not gargantuan in size but fancy enough to be impressive, the boat and the fate of the individuals on it are at the center of a mystery that begins to chip away at Yasmin, who with season 3, is the series’ new lead. Throughout the episodes, the boat is revisited through flashbacks, first appearing in quick flashes meant to keep the viewer confused, until it explodes later at a point of no return. Along with the boat is the fractured Pierpoint & Company, which after Harper’s (Myha’la) firing in the season two finale doesn’t feel like the bank we were first introduced to in 2020.

Accompanying this change is the introduction of Sir Henry Muck (Kit Harington), the head of a green-energy tech company, and Petra Koenig (Sarah Goldberg) a manager at Harper’s new job. Harington and Goldberg both instantly meld into the series, and it feels as if they’ve been a part of this show all along. Like most of the men in the series, Muck is the perfect mix of sleazy and pathetic, while Koenig’s bite appears to be just what Harpher desires in a business partner.

Who are the main characters of Industry season three?

Yasmin (Marisa Abela), one of the original graduates from the first season has risen up the ranks at Pierpoint, but a personal tragedy and the ensuing scandal completely takes over her career.

Harper (Myha’la) was brutally axed from Pierpoint at the end of season two, but now she’s making plans to get back on top at a rival company.

Sir Henry Muck (Kit Harington) is the CEO of green tech energy company Lumi, who strikes up a relationship with Yasmin.

Rob (Harry Lawtey) is a Pierpoint employee who is tasked with overseeing the Lumi deal, but clashes with the CEO Henry.

Eric (Ken Leung) is the Pierpoint Bank managing director who took Harper under his wing in season one, only to stab her in the back in the second run. Needless to say their relationship is even more complex now they are rivals.

Nicole (Sarah Parish) is a wealthy client of Pierpoint, who crosses boundaries with the young graduates, with fatal results in the opening episode of season three.

Rishi (Sagar Radia) is a trader at Pierpoint, but his drug use and debt problems threaten to ruin his career.

Robb in particular is still one of the show’s most fascinating characters, and Lawtey continues to deliver the show’s most unwavering emotional performance. “I don’t know why i’m still here,” He says at one point this season, and while he’s talking about his job at Pierpoint, it’s impossible to not think that he’s talking about his life as well. And he’s not the only one. He’s joined in this misery by Eric Tao (Ken Leung), the CPS managing director, and “Industry’s” standout performance.

What makes this show standout is that things can go well as quickly as they can go south–showcased this season in episode two, one of the most thrilling hours of television this year–which puts this series above its peers. But, with its first few episodes, it’s clear that with season three, “Industry” is unfurling into a different kind of beast. Instead of transforming the series into something unrecognizable, what creators Mickey Down and Konrad Kay do is even bolder. The two mold the series to the point that while there’s a clear evolution happening, everything that initially made “Industry” one of the best shows of the decade still remains intact. It not only allows the series to grow but forces it to become the most impressive version of itself.

Is Industry based on a true story?

Sort of. Industry was inspired by show creators Konrad Kay and Mickey Down’s stint at a top American investment bank, fresh out of university, but there’s clearly a lot of creative licence involved in the more scandalous storylines.

That said, issues such as the banking crisis of 2008 and the potential privatisation of the NHS are referenced throughout the season.

Kay and Down even have their own insider, giving them the real current gossip and scandal in the sector.

‘We have a consultant,’ the pair told GQ. ‘And he loves the idea of being a sort of Zoro figure. He was very senior in the sell side and now he’s very senior in the buy side and he comes into our room once a week and just shoots the shit with us. He uses the show a little bit as I guess a way to fuck with people. And to get his own prejudices on stuff out.’

Will there be another season of Industry?

While the show creators have suggested a fourth season is going to happen, nothing is confirmed yet.

The finale episode of season three does have a sense of closure, but still leaves the door open enough for future instalments to see characters in new countries, new industries and new relationships.

Saying anything else would be a spoiler, but safe to say, there’s more shocking scandals to explore, once HBO gives the greenlight.
